Respite Services

ACH Group provide a wide range or personalised respite support tailored to meet your individual needs. Our services provide older people with rich and fulfilling experiences while giving their carer a break.

We offer many different respite and social support options which can be a planned ongoing serivce or a once off service. Respite support is provided by trained, screened volunteer companions and where required, by paid care workers.

Respite services vary depending on your needs. The options may take you on a holiday or day trip, or perhaps be home or centre-based. Our services are designed to meet your needs and can include these programs -

Wyatt Holidays - helps frail, older people and their carers to enjoy a break. Respite is provided by arranging and coordinating individually planned holidays.

Aboriginal Wyatt Holidays - supports older aborginal people to access valued and culturally approporiate holiday options as a form of respite or social support.

Respite in your home - These programs are designed around individual respite needs for carers and older people living in Onkaparinga, Holdfast Bay , Mitcham, Unley, Marion , East Torrens , Burnside, Campbelltown, Adelaide , Norwood , Enfield , Prospect and Walkerville areas.

Cottage based Respite - Swan and Savas Cottage provides day and overnight community based in respite in the eastern and western metropolitan areas.

Working Carers Respite - This service provides individual and club support (including access to community activities) to frail, older people who live in the southern part of the City of Onkaparinga (eg Aldinga, McLaren Vale and Willunga areas).

Centre Based Respite (SOSA) - This service provides individual and club support (including access to community activities) to frail, older people who live in the southern part of the City of Onkaparinga (eg Aldinga, McLaren Vale and Willunga areas).

How much do Respite Services cost?

Different fees apply for the various services.

However ACH Group is committed to providing quality services regardless of your ability to contribute to the cost.

Service fees and policies on fee capping and fee waiving can be discussed on request.

Angela Sharp, who conducts the ACH Group Choir "Sing for Joy", has been short listed for the 2010 Geoff Crowhurst Memorial Award as part of the Annual Ruby Awards for excellence in the arts.

Sunlife Exchange a Success!

During May a team of twelve ACH group staff enjoyed a ten day international cultural exchange to Nagano and Nagoya in Japan as part of a scholarship program with Japanese aged care provider Sun Life Group.
