What are Therapy Services
?
Therapy Services offer older people specialist support to restore their physical and emotional wellbeing after illness, injury or loss.
An individually designed service
ACH Group offers professional, caring and experienced consultants to assess needs on an individual basis. We involve the older person and help them to develop realistic goals.
Through our Therapy Services we coordinate a range of individualised, time-defined services to achieve those goals. We understand, encourage and support the older person to re-establish links within their community, and with family and friends.
Our staff are also skilled in providing services for people with dementia.
What kind of services can we provide?
- Needs assessment.
- Lifestyle planning and counseling.
- Assistance to access community groups and venues.
- Physiotherapy including aquatic physiotherapy.
- Podiatry.
- Water and land based exercise programs.
- Occupational Therapy.
- Assistance to access dementia services.
- Other services and therapies as required.
What is the role of volunteers?
ACH Group Therapy Services recognizes, encourages and actively seeks volunteers to enhance our service. They are carefully screened, trained and matched to suit and meet individual needs.
Volunteers contribute by -
- Visiting frail and socially isolated older people.
- Providing transport to and from service.
- Supporting the older person to re-establish community links.
Who is eligible for Therapy Services?
Any older person with loss of function, ability or social networks and who wishes to maximise their potential.
How much do Therapy Services cost?
Different fees apply for the various services, however ACH Group is committed to providing quality services regardless of your ability to contribute to the cost.
Service fees and policies on fee capping and fee waiving can be discussed on request.
