Good Volunteers

"We make a living by what we get, but make a life by what we give."

Everyone benefits from volunteering at ACH Group.

Not only do you get the personal satisfaction in helping others, increased confidence from learning new skills in free training and development and the chance to meet new people, but older people’s lives are enriched as you care for and support them.

There are opportunities for both short-term and long-term volunteering roles with us.

What can I do as a volunteer?

Whatever time you're able to offer, there is a role for you as an ACH Group Volunteer – either short-term or in a long-term role. Perhaps you might be a:

  • companion
  • driver
  • gardener
  • tutor for an older person
  • administration or maintenance assistant
  • entertainer
  • shopping companion
  • support an older person's love of art or music
  • exercise buddy

Volunteering options are available seven days a week, and days and times are flexible. We offer ongoing training for all volunteers, as well as resources and other publications to support you in your volunteering role.

We have volunteering programs available in metropolitan Adelaide, Murray Mallee and Riverland regions, as well as in the Fleurieu Peninsula.

How to become an ACH Group Volunteer
