Help for Veterans

We have a number of programs specifically available for veterans.

Veterans Allied Health

For Gold or White cardholders, this service offers allied health treatment and home-based Rehabilitation Appliance Program (RAP) for equipment and home modification.

DVA Community Nursing

DVA Home Nursing Services offer nursing care in the comfort of your own home. Services are flexible and are tailored to meet your individual needs. A registered nurse is happy to come to your house to discuss your requirements. Please discuss your health needs with your GP and ask to be referred to ACH Group.

If are a Gold or eligible White cardholder and require community nursing services, the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) will pay for all of your assessed community nursing care.

These services include:

  • Continence Management
  • Wound Care
  • Respiratory Care
  • Cardiac Care
  • Medication Management
  • Palliative Care
  • Falls Assessment
  • Memory Support (dementia care)


HomeFront Assessment

HomeFront is a prevention program designed to prevent falls and accidents in and around your home. All DVA Gold and White card holders are eligible for a free HomeFront falls prevention assessment.

Following this assessment the Department of Veterans' Affairs will make a financial contribution towards the cost of recommended aids and minor home modifications that will reduce the risk of falls and accidents.

How do I access these services?

You can access this service by calling 1300 300 811 or by speaking with your GP, hospital or healthcare provider.
